I have a thing for the color black, the perfect neutral. Add a bright pop of color or keep it monochromatic, it’s the easiest color. The way I see it, black is the new black.
This outfit was a simple transition from work to play, especially with the structured motorcycle jacket. I added small touches of gold in the accessories, another favorite staple color of mine.
What makes this outfit even better were the price tags. If you keep your eyes peeled this holiday season, the sales are phenomenal. The Kensie high-low dress was less than $10, and the Impulse jacket was $21; both from Macy’s clearance racks. Add a chic statement necklace and belt to accentuate the waist, which brings everything together nicely.
Like I said, easy and not too extravagant for a “just-out-of-college, first time homeowner” budget like mine.
Peace, love, and fashion happiness,
Lauren
-The slim belt was from Forever 21, and the necklace from Dry Goods clearance. Both I have had for quite some time.
