I was extremely particular on my Instagram (Outfit_a_Day_365) journey. Post every day, no repeat outfits, and whenever possible, add color or sparkle. It wasn’t an easy feat, and included lots of awkward moments and last minute posts.
Constantly begging people to take a
perfect daily picture for Instagram became old quite quickly. Falling asleep at night and then waking suddenly realizing that I forgot to post my outfit from earlier was annoying. But, at the same time I loved every second of it. Mulling around my closet every evening became my favorite part of the day, attempting to find a great outfit for tomorrow.
I saw my closet in a new light. At least 60% of my clothes weren’t even being worn; blouses I never knew existed, skirts I didn’t think matched anything, and jackets that never saw the light of day. I knew that to not repeat an outfit (or spend hundreds of dollars trying to do so) I would have to utilize the back of my closet, the forgotten pieces.
Nevertheless, it was exciting, and I loved every minute of it. But, now I am beginning a new journey, transitioning from Instagram to blogging. And this is where it has brought me.
New year, new beginning, and MANY more new outfits!
Peace, love, and fashion happiness,
