It’s the holiday season and sometimes you just want to treat yourself too. But, with restricted budgets and infinite Christmas lists, you don’t.
What if you could treat yourself with designer goodies while still staying within your budget?
Take a look at this adorable Kate Spade blouse. Typically, Kate Spade blouses start around $100. But, I purchased it for $15!
With the winter chill arriving in Minnesota quicker than I hoped, I needed a new way to stay warm and fashionable. I love my down feather Calvin Klein coat, however, it becomes quite monotonous when worn every single day. I wanted to switch it up occasionally- try a new trend other than a long black coat.
I have already seen several women on the street flaunting their flowing capes (or as some might call a poncho). Could this new fad be the piece of clothing to break up my chilly day boredom?
Hello all my lovely followers! Sorry for the slight hiatus, I promise I have a good excuse. If you have been following my Instagram, you’ll have noticed I was making waves in the community.
From July through late September I was planning, preparing, and directing Style on the Plaza– an annual fashion show that showcases local businesses and highlights the community’s unique style. This was my first, of hopefully many, shows that I directed. I have been in a whirlwind of excitement and stress as the last several months have been strictly focused on planning this event. There was barely time to stop for food and sleep. But, in the end, it was COMPLETELY worth it.
Every woman has heard it- high heels are nothing but trouble. Deformed feet, back pain, and shortened calve muscles to name a few problems instigated by them.
But, as a 20-something woman I would gladly choose a day of aching feet and lower back pain to wear the beautiful stilettos and wedges gracing my closet. There is a sense of allure and excitement felt when you slip on pair of sky-high heels, ready to face the world.
Let me explain the weather this past week…
Tuesday: Thunder and rain
Wednesday: High winds, and more rain
Thursday: Nonstop downpour of rain
Today: Morning and evening rain
So, how can I dress fashionable for the weather? By adding an adorable umbrella to my outfit!
I must admit two things about myself…
- I cannot pass up a good deal
- I am a shoe addict
Because of these character traits I acquired two more beautiful studded pairs of shoes for my ever-growing closet.
Mom, if you are reading this, before you roll your eyes at my money spending habits, the shoes were only $15 each! Thank you Charlotte Russe for the amazing sale prices that I stumble upon at dreadfully late hours of the night.
Today is my birthday, so I decided to treat myself to a new pair of shoes. A group of friends and I are heading to a local winery, Four Daughters, for a relaxed evening of good laughs, mouth-watering food, and amazing wine. It was obvious that a new pair of shoes was necessary.
I have been mourning over the price of the Valentino ‘Rockstud’ Pumps for months, disappointed they would never be attached to my feet. However, after late night browsing online, I stumbled upon a pair of similar heels from LuLu‘s. Their price was perfect for a small budget like mine, and they looked practically identical! I ALMOST prefer the LuLu’s pair over the Valentino because of the heel height. The higher the heel the better, as I always say.
The other day while wearing this particular outfit around town, I had several individuals ask me, “Where are you going all dressed up?”
I cannot rave enough about how fabulous I felt going on out for date night in this outfit. As much as I love to wear my sleek LBDs and stilettos, the weather was not permitting. The (faux) fur vest adds a bit of flair and warmth during the cold nights walking downtown, and the pleather pants keep everything exciting. Add the Coach wedges and statement necklace for perfect finishing touches.
